A new round of competition in technology route -- cultivating and developing world-class advanced manufacturing clusters
2020-04-21 05:25:01

The development pattern of the global manufacturing industry is changing and technology is rapidly evolving. The roadmap for technological innovation in key areas of the made in China 2025 initiative has been revised for the first time. The roadmap for technological innovation in key areas of the made in China 2025 initiative (2017 edition) was released in Beijing. Compared with the 2015 roadmap, the new roadmap complements some new technologies and new business forms.

Profound changes are taking place in the development trend and pattern of the global manufacturing industry. The pace of technological upgrading is accelerating, and industrial development and market demand are changing with each passing day. Take the operating system and industrial software technology for example, the last two years can be said to be rapid development, and triggered a new round of competition among countries.

In order to timely reflect the new trends, new situations and new problems in the development of the manufacturing sector, and to provide timely reference and guidance to all sectors, the strategic advisory committee (sac) launched the revision of the technology roadmap in early 2017. However, the process of revising the new version of the roadmap was not easy. More than 400 academicians and experts reviewed the latest progress of international standards, carefully sorted out the existing shortcomings and bottlenecks, and formed the 2017 version of the roadmap.

The new roadmap provides a new vision for the future based on new technology trends and developments over the past two years. In the past two years, the rapid development of industrial big data, industrial Internet and cloud platform has provided a new path for the development of industrial software. Therefore, the new roadmap has made major adjustments in the field of industrial software, with special emphasis on the development of big data, cloud computing, artificial intelligence and edge computing.

Development in the ten areas is uneven. The overall level of the ten areas and 23 priority directions by 2025 is expected to be "small at both ends and large in the middle".

For example, China's three major industries of communication equipment, rail transit equipment and electric power equipment will enter the world's leading ranks as a whole, and the innovation mode will enter the leading stage by following in parallel. The rise of these three industries will be an important sign of China's emergence as a manufacturing power. In this process, China will achieve breakthroughs in a number of major technologies, such as 5G, green intelligent rail transit technology, ultra-high voltage power transmission and transformation technology, and additive manufacturing technology for high-performance large-scale key metal components, which will take the lead in the world.

However, there is still a large gap between China's manufacturing industry and the world powers in a large part of the key areas, we should keep a clear mind about this, and speed up the realization of the manufacturing industry by the historical leap.

We will encourage differentiated development at the local level. By 2025, we have at least six industries that are likely to be number one in the world. There will be more than 20 industries in the world's advanced level, with international counterparts on the same stage of competition. With the support of such a number of industries, China's manufacturing power strategy has the confidence to achieve the goal.

The ministry of industry and information technology is promoting the construction of "made in China 2025" national demonstration zones and industrial clusters. "An important goal of the demonstration zone is to solve the problem of regional homogeneity, according to the national strategic deployment, guide provinces and cities to focus on the leading industries according to their comparative advantages, to target the international high-end fields, and to cultivate and develop world-class advanced manufacturing clusters. Li beiguang, deputy director of the planning department of the ministry of industry and information technology, said that this year, the ministry of industry and information technology will continuously revise the "made in China 2025" guidelines for provinces and cities, strengthen the research on the development trend of industrial clusters in the world and the development status of industrial clusters in China, and issue the opinions on cultivating and developing world-class advanced manufacturing clusters.
